Last week involved a lot of getting ready for a writers conference, driving to the conference, and beginning the conference. It started Saturday night and will run through next Saturday.
I say this because I will soon lose track of days. If I don’t have my usual Wednesday post done on time, you know why. I am trying and fully intend on having it up as usual, but I really might lose track of what day it is. Hopefully no one has to message me to get it up. (grin)
So, aside from packing and driving, what else did I get done last week?
I prepared the print version for Oxygen, most of which had been done but needed uploaded. I prepared the full cover for the print version. I like the back of it because it’s an asphalt pattern.
I did some “gardening and tending” on some of my ebooks that were up on Smashwords. It seems like there is always something.
And, I got posts ready for the next couple of weeks for Rockin’ Life and Weblinks over on Legendary Hero Comics. I am so excited about getting back to these. I really hope the plan in my head for these is sustainable.
Well, I want to go off and get some writing done while I have a moment. Let’s look at the numbers.
Fiction words written last week: 3.025 words – though I do have some words that I haven’t transcribed yet, so that will bump me a little when I can finally drop them in.
Blogs/Newsletter articles/non-fiction written: 1,704 words
Writing month to date total: 25,862 words
Writing year to date total: 309,264 words
Drawing/painting last week: I didn’t do any painting last week. I really need to find a new metric for this one. I’ve been sketching nearly every day this last week (I think I’ve only missed one day), plus I’ve spent time working on Rockin’ Life this week. For sketching and practicing, I could just use a streak count (i.e. I’ve been sketching for 4 days in a row now). For working on my webcomics, I suppose I could use time like I do for the audiobooks. I haven’t really decided yet, plus it’s more things that I have to keep track of when I really just want to be creating. We shall see I guess.
Audio: I spent 3 hours editing audio. I am continuing to do this while I’m on the road too.
See you, hopefully, on Wednesday!
