I admit that I’ve still had some “creative procrastination” going on with this story. Other projects have bumped it aside. But, I sat down earlier this week to try to work on Onesong and I have yet to figure out the puzzle. I know it’s there. I trust the process, so I know the answer is in something I’ve already written. I’m trying to stay calm since I know I still have a lot of this book to piece together. I just haven’t figured out what scenes still need written and that’s a problem. I’m not even seeing the scenes any more but I have wholes that need filled.
In the book I’m reading now, the hero senses different types of metals on his world. He pushes away the sense of one metal to search for another metal. In some ways, the way I write stories is the same. I have to push away every other story to get to the one I’m writing. Unfortunately, there are some stories which are younger, stronger, and closer than Onesong right now and they are getting the attention. When Loki starts talking, everything else flees. Then there are a couple projects I’ve just had to finish up because of time sensitivity and I’ve had to pull them close. The essence of creative procrastination: being able to pull and push stories close or away.
Let’s get to this chapter, shall we?
Onesong is an epic fantasy story filled with action, adventure, and sword and sorcery. Chapter 28 is available for 1 week only! Then it will turn back into a pumpkin and a new chapter will appear!
