Have I mentioned my Instant Pot?

Yes, I’m still enjoying the new, shiny object. I don’t know who has been using it more: me or my son. He took a discounted pork roast that he found for $2.98 and made it into dinner for us for two nights. I’ve had $15 meals that didn’t taste as good as what he had prepared for us. We’re learning to use it to warm food up, even to cook something fresh and warm up something else. I made applesauce on Sunday night right before writing up this post.

I feel as if I’ve been taking it easy this week, though I know that’s not true. I’ve started reading through Tangled Magic and an really excited about the book. I worked on Elliot’s story a bit, as well as a few new pages on Stonecharmer. I thought I’d try writing a new beginning to The Missing Thread, but the little voice kept telling me that I didn’t want to start the story there. I totally disregarded my own advice of trusting the process and tried to insist that the story could start there. It ground to a halt. So I came back to it the next day and played pretend with it. I pretended that it might be something that comes a little later in the book, as the little voice had insisted. Within a couple pages, I realized that the scenes did need to come later, as the little voice had insisted.

While working on the audio for Quest for the Three Books and got to chapter 29. It sounded horrible. I had also recorded chapter 30 at the same time. Both were terrible. So I spent some time re-recording them. I haven’t had a chance to listen to them yet to see if they are better, but I don’t know how they couldn’t be. Yeah, they were that bad.

Well, I’ve let myself stay up too late. Let’s get to the numbers.
