Progress – June 25, 2018

Hail, fellow adventurers.

I don’t know about you, but last week was a bushwhacking week. Some incredible high points (so lows too, but balance in all things, right?) Whew!

Let’s see… I got my print copy of Eggs at Play. That was fun.

Some people have also already noticed that the next Loki novella, 1-800-IceBaby is up for pre-order. It will officially be available August 28th. Spread the word!

PS. That word is “mischief.”

(insert Loki’s laughter here)

Yeah, he’s a bit excited too.

And, Mystery of the Stardust Monk hit the shelves. Put a ninja in a room with two novihomidraks… yeah, that’s a fun idea. Some day I shall have to dig deeper into the silent feud between those known as Black Night masters and the dragon born. So many adventures, so little time.

On a personal note: On Wednesday, I got no words done. I really feared what that might mean for this week. But on Saturday and Sunday, I managed to get 2,400 words kicked out each day, so I did hit the mark for the week.

I played the Star Wars role playing game with my son and one of his friends. I got to play a 40-something year old female smuggler — this was actually a character Adrian already had in the game, so I just had to pick up her sheets and play her. Yeah, that wasn’t hard at all. Kinda feels like my life right now. (grin)

I’m down to the final few chapters of Quest for the Three Books on the audiobook. I do have a lot of punch ins for the last couple I’ve listened to. That’s a bit sad, but oh well, it’s getting done with baby steps.

July is lining up to be a busy month. More details to come on that.

Let’s look at those numbers, shall we?

Fiction words written last week: 5,927 words.

Blogs/Newsletter articles/non-fiction written:  433 words

Weekly word goal reached for 4 week.

Writing month to date total:  15,555 words.

Writing year to date total: 164,276 words

Drawing/painting last week: I did some sketching last week, but that’s all.

Audio: I spent just over 5 hours editing audio.
