Until recently, I always thought this story would be told from Moonhunter’s point of view only, much like my Sacred Knight story is only told from Steigan’s point of view.

Then, as I was going back reading chapter 1 a few months ago, I realized that I’d slipped some of Balthier’s point of view in. Not to mention that the dragon had a good chunk of the first part of the beginning of the chapter. I suddenly wanted this to be told from more than Moonhunter’s point of view.

In opening up other view points, I didn’t expect what has happened. I’ve spent a lot of time writing this story from Balthier’s point of view and have really gotten to know him.

Oh, don’t worry. This story is still about Moonhunter (and what he does — hint: the answer is in The Doorway Prince). It’s just interesting to see the development of the story.

Just trust the process.
