When I roused from sleep this morning, my mind was on my website. Then, I startled awake.
I hadn’t done what I needed to do yesterday.
It was an hour before I intended on getting up and here I was jumping out of bed to rush to my computer to see if I’d really missed the deadline or not.
With a partial sigh of relief, I saw that tomorrow (Thursday) was actually the deadline, not yesterday (Tuesday). But my brain had woken me up with thoughts of taking care of business. It must be Wednesday.
Once that part of my brain was engaged, all it wanted to do was work on websites. I do still have until December 2nd to fully make my move, but I feel like I’m nearly there. I went out and took care of a few other items of business while I was at it. I have a lot of work to be done to really get things wrangled around where they should be at this point in time. But, I feel like I’m getting there.
Of course, that also led me to discover things that have become broken, like my narration website. I spent some time fixing that. Then, I looked at alternatives for my comic website. I don’t have a good answer for that yet, so it’s still a work in process. Still, I spent way too much time on that today considering it’s something I’ve done for fun and practice. At least I got to keep shouting at my brain, “This is not business! If you want to work on business, then work on business! Otherwise, go be creative!”
Guess what? My brain didn’t listen. (shakes head sadly)
But my creative voice was certainly getting excited about the prospect of getting back to comics.
Alas, I still didn’t get an answer I wanted on the website, so I’ll still have to look, but my brain finally did surrender and admitted that we’d have to work on that some other time.
That let me turn my attention to 1-800-Lok8, but I didn’t have enough time to get it fully prepared. Soon, though.
I’m off to edit audio and get some writing done now.
Until next time, have fun.
