Stonecharmer Kickstarter has begun

The trilogy I spent the last part of last year and the first of this year writing is now in a Kickstarter campaign.

Welcome to the Stonecharmer series.

The story is about a girl, Saebryne, who begins to hear screaming and pounding marches in her head. When her family finds out that she is hearing the stone from the mines, called Thyst, and the family business is threatened by the town’s oracle, Saebryne fears they will sacrifice her to the mines and she runs away. On her own, she must figure out how to navigate her way in the world.

It has a touch of steampunk to it and is set in a Victorian-type setting. I really had to keep focusing on that as I wrote this because I’ve been doing medieval settings for so long. It was a fun challenge.

I also have written a short story to go along with the campaign titled Four Makes a Foundation. It takes place about twenty years before Stonecharmer.

Do I think there’s more to this story? Oh yes, but probably not with the characters through the trilogy. I think there’s a lot that might happen because of what they did. Future repercussions, so to speak, because there were things that I only touched on in the story, but didn’t dive too deeply into because it wasn’t necessary. As I finished up the novels and started to see where things could go badly in the future because of the past, my creative voice started working on characters. I could feel it working on it. If I do, though, it will have a different series name just to keep these three on their own.

I hope you do decide to support the campaign. Ebooks can be delivered anywhere in the world with an email, but print books (paperbacks and hardbacks) are only being shipped to the U.S. If you live outside of the U.S. but would really love to get a signed copy, please comment below or send me a message via Kickstarter to let me know your country and I will figure out how much it would be to ship to you. Then I will add that to Kickstarter. I just didn’t want to figure out shipping for every country. Please, serious supporters only.

I’ve been hyping the hardbacks because I know there are collectors out there who like to get books in hardback. I will only be doing 25 sets of these maximum. I will not have them at my shows. So, if you want a signed hardback, Kickstarter is the only place you’ll be able to get it from me.

Even if you can’t monetarily support the Kickstarter but would like to support, please feel free to share a link to this post or even to copy the link to your platforms in order to let people know. Word of mouth is great advertising. You may not have the $2 to support and get the short story, but one of your friends might gladly spend the $75 to get the hardbacks. Please help me get the word out.

Thank you and many blessings!
