Last night while I was reading Sanctuary (book 3 in the Joust series) by Mercedes Lackey, the main character was thinking about how women are like cats and men like hounds. It must have really sunk into my subconscious because today I feel like I’ve been living like a cat.
I got up early, pretty much when Temmy did, and got all the animals taken out and fed. Then I went to my office. But I didn’t feel like writing. Instead, I reclined back in my chair and took a short nap. Then I came out and decided to go to the back yard for some mowing and working on the garden. Then I came in and took a nap. Lunch. Then I tinkered around for a bit, and finally went to make dinner. Now, I’m ready for a nap.
I hope I shake this by tomorrow. It’s supposed to snow starting at 1 a.m. tonight and ending at 9 a.m. tomorrow (Snow? Doesn’t the weather realize it’s May?). Maybe I’m just as flipflopping as the weather. Or, as we discussed a couple night ago, the weather is mirroring the emotions of the people in the area, including me. I do think there’s some evidence for that, but I don’t feel like discussing it now. (See? Cat.)
Time to go finish up my evening activities, and then I swear I’m going to go get something productive done. Even if it’s a nap.
