It was the first day of the Twin Falls Art in the Park.
I had to be there early, as I said yesterday, to start my setup. We finished with only a few minutes to spare before the start of the show. It was then that my son’s girlfriend took a moment to braid my hair. She did this lovely fishtail braid.
The undercut pokes out a little bit, but I think my hair really liked this braid. It held it for most of the day. I also think this is the first time it’s been in a fishtail. Usually I do my own French braid. Anyway, I was pretty thrilled with how it turned out.
I had a good day at the show. I had to stop by storage to pick up the overflow box for my notecards because I didn’t realize my supply was getting so low. I also came home tonight and photograph/varnished a bunch of the paintings have I done in the last couple of weeks.
I got inspired talking to the other artists. There are some people with amazing work there. I picked up a print of a feather painting done by Iris Boyd. I have another print of a feather she’s done – this one a horse. This new one is a little dragon. Right now, it’s sitting in my booth. I’m not sure if I’ll leave it as part of my booth décor or if I’ll bring it home.
I’m looking forward to tomorrow and the other events that will also be going on at the park. Hope to see you there.
Cheers.
