Today’s prompt is: Gargoyle.
My first thought, of course, was to jump to the gargaxes. I’ve drawn a few of those. Yet the point of Inktober is not to ink old work, but to practice. So, I practiced.
I’d like to think that I’ll be able to participate in Inktober. I’m going to give it a shot. Since I know that I’ve got several activities going on this month already, I’ll be kind to myself and allow time to either get ahead or to catch up. As much as I agree that just drawing 10-20 minutes per day will get one great strides forward, I know that life happens. I was already reminding myself yesterday and today that 10-20 minutes of activity is better than none. A turtle crawl will still move the turtle along. I may write more about this discussion with myself later on, but for right now, I need to be moving on. Drawing was not part of the schedule in my day until this evening when I realized, “Oh, yeah! It’s Inktober. I wonder what the prompts are.” And, of course, gargoyles enchanted me, so I had to start.
I hope I get a month of practice in.
Cheers.
I love your gargoyle. Mine wasn’t up to scratch but I think practicing every day will make me a better artist eventually
Thank you. Keep practicing. So far, Oct 1 was the only day I’ve managed to get done. So much for me getting better every day. Maybe I’ll get back on the horse and start again.
