All good things in time

So, last night I fully intended to wake early, get my 1,000 words in, then spend the rest of the day painting. I fully thought I’d be start painting about 11:00 this morning.

Yeah. Here’s what really happened.

I had a hard time waking up and didn’t manage to stay awake until 9 this morning. The first feeling that I had was that I really needed to finish the Fenrir’s Tale story which has been growing into a novella. By the time I’d taken care of myself and the pets, it was about 11. I sat down to write. I didn’t stop until I’d finished the story.

At almost 3:00 p.m., I sat down to paint. I finished three of the mini canvases I’d started last night. Those are the three pictures above.

I’m writing early while dinner is cooking — I’m preparing a meatloaf and asparagus — so that I can spend some time tonight to write more ( it feels strange to have not worked on Arlyn’s story today) and start the thumbnails for my kids book now that it’s all lined out.

Or I might decide to paint some more.

Time to finish folding all the laundry I’ve done today and take care of the pets again. Then, my dinner and more fun. Woo hoo!

Cheers!
