I worked in the heat of the sun to till the land for my garden. That was some work. Since then, I feel like I haven’t been able to cool down. Plus I have a headache.
Dumb.
Now, I’m sitting outside now that the sun has set and getting some writing done. It’s very nice, but I’m getting too distracted. Being tired doesn’t help. I really just want to curl up and take a nap. If I didn’t have to get up in the morning, I might just do that. As it is, a nap right now might be dangerous.
Merlin’s enjoying barking. Me, not so much.
Oh, there was a small pop like someone setting off a firework. Now Merlin is ready to go inside.
Too bad. I’m not ready.
Poor Merlin.
Maybe I don’t want to go in because I know when I do, I should work on Arlyn’s book. Which is kind of funny, by the way. After I wrote that I’d only gotten in 200 words or so last night and I finished the post, I jumped back to the story and continued writing. I’d written quite a bit and wondered where I was at. I check it out and it says I’m still at the same number of words I’d been at before. Really?
I began typing junk. No increase in word count.
For a moment, I thought Word had crashed on me. It took me a few minutes, but I figured out the cause. You should have seen the word count jump. It still wasn’t as much as I wish it had been, but it was better than the, “You got 200 hundred words done. Still 200. Nope, still 200.”
Well, Merlin’s brave and barking again. It’s nearly dark. I suppose I should head on in before the mosquitos start pecking.
Time to go write.
Cheers.
