Hardcovers for my Stonecharmer series shipped out today. It's not often that I get to ship out an international box, so I actually had to go to the Post Office to make sure I did it right. I did, so woo hoo! Way to be an international author. LOL! Go international!
The Stonecharmer hardbacks are prepared for shipping and will go out tomorrow. Woo hoo! They are so beautiful. Yes, I'm still in amazement. It's hard to let them go, but I'm glad they are going out to awesome readers who are excited to get them. And now, for me, it is time to move onto … Continue reading Hardcovers ready to ship
I received the hardbacks for the Kickstarter rewards today. It was awesome holding the hardbacks in my hands. I should've taken a picture earlier, but I didn't. I will, however, before I send them out. They look beautiful. I was amazed. It sort of felt like the first time I held my paperback in my … Continue reading Stonecharmer hardbacks
Books started arriving today. I don't yet have all the books to start sending them out, but since I don't have the energy right now, that's all right. I did get to hold the Stonecharmer book in my hands and flip though it, but that's about all I've done. I'm currently sitting with two unused … Continue reading What makes me not excited over a shipment of books?
After I got daily pages done this morning, I went back to the story that I was editing yesterday. After about an hour, I had finished reading through it. Boy, did I have some issues with it. Instead of working on the story and finishing that up, I went into Kickstarter and started getting out … Continue reading When the creative voice kills a story
WIND!!!!! The heater is back on. It's the end of May and it's still cold. Cold enough for me to run the heater. Oh, and did I mention the WIND!!!! Seriously, I'm a little tired of these windstorms. I guess I'm not the one that gets to decide. Yet, given what's happened in this country … Continue reading Never edit when it’s windy
Books are ordered and they are on their way. I really can't wait to see the Stonecharmer covers. Then the work begins of getting them shipped out to supporters. It's all fun, but sometimes it's a little scary and stressful. Then I remind myself it's just shipping out books. Not a big deal. People are … Continue reading Arriving soon
My garden is all planted. It's been a long few days, but it's done. I mean to take a picture today, but I forgot. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll remember to take one. It'll be interesting to watch it as it grows. I have a feeling it's going to be a tangle of plants this year. … Continue reading Digging in the dirt
No luck for the eclipse last night (of course!). It was too low near the horizon and there were thick thunderstorm clouds off to the east. So, no luck for us. Today I worked on Stonesinger and got through edits. Tomorrow I will work on covers. Then it'll be ready to go. After that, Kevin … Continue reading When the brain hits a wall
The three editions of Stonebreaker are done. They did, as I expected, take a bit less time than the first, but there were still difficulties. Plus, I had to make a few changes to Stonecharmer which I hadn't noticed yesterday. You know what? Doing hardcovers are a chore. Okay, maybe not. It's not really that … Continue reading Two books down
